Microsoft Volume Licensing Agreements

As of July 1, 2016, Microsoft will no longer accept new orders and software insurance renewals in markets where MPSA is available, thanks to existing Select Plus business agreements for the next anniversary of the customer`s contract. Partners must work with authorized Microsoft distributors to sell licenses and subscriptions through open agreements. You must also be an AER to sell licenses via Open License for Academic and Open Value Subscription for Education Solutions. Open Value across the company and open value subscription are commitment-based agreements for business and government organizations that wish to license at the enterprise level over a period of one or two years. Software Assurance is included in the delivery. The Select Plus program, which was developed primarily for medium- and large-scale companies, allows customers to acquire indeterminate licenses and in the customer`s choice of software backup over a specified period (usually three years or less). Like open programs, the Select Plus program allows customers to purchase only licenses, purchase licenses with software insurance, or renew software insurance when existing volume licensing agreements expire. Online services can also be purchased through the Select Plus program and subscriptions are generally structured with durations of between one and three years. We license software to organizations under agreements that allow the end user to purchase multiple licenses for products and services. Our agreements for multi-product and service licensing organizations are designed to give them the ability to do so without having to purchase packaged products separated through retail channels.

When making organizational licensing agreements available for the market, we use different programs that offer flexibility to organizations of different sizes. While these programs can make a difference in different parts of the world, they usually contain those discussed below. You must be a provider of Microsoft Licensing Solutions (LSP) to sell licenses and subscriptions through Microsoft Enterprise agreements and registrations. The Microsoft ISV licensing program is available to ISVs who want a practical licensing opportunity for Microsoft products and their integration into a single solution. THE ISVs can then replicate the commercial solution and distribute a fully conceded solution to their end-users. ISV Royalty (ISVR) contracts are valid for a period of three years and payment is made monthly through a licensed distributor of the ISV Royalty Licensing Program. Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA) is a transaction licensing agreement for commercial, government and academic organizations with 250 or more users/devices. MPSA is most appropriate for organizations that wish to license Microsoft for software, cloud services or needs, without organizational-wide obligations or multi-year subscription options under a single agreement that does not expire.

Software Assurance is optional. Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and Microsoft Enterprise Subscription Agreement are engagement licensing agreements for commercial organizations that sign a new registration with 500 or more users/devices and government organizations with 250 or more users or devices. These agreements are best for organizations that want to license company-wide microsoft software and cloud services over a three-year period and at the best available prices. This pension does not apply to state agreements and Select Plus academic agreements or if the MPSA is not available on July 1, 2016.
